Nogitsune

Nogitsune are wild fox spirits often depicted as tricksters. Unlike Zenko, they are known to play pranks and cause chaos, embodying the unpredictable nature of the wild. They can also take possession of humans, leading them into mischief and confusion.

Legend

One legend tells of a nogitsune that disguised itself as a beautiful maiden to deceive a traveler. After leading him astray, the nogitsune revealed its true form, teaching the traveler to be wary of appearances.
