Ibaraki-dōji

Legend

Ibaraki-dōji is renowned for a dramatic confrontation with the legendary hero Watanabe no Tsuna, who attempts to exorcise him at the Rashōmon gate. In their struggle, Ibaraki-dōji loses an arm, which becomes a symbol of his legendary ferocity and persistence.
