Accra Inari-sha

One of West Africa's newest Shinto sacred spaces, the Accra Inari-sha was established by a Japanese businesswoman and long-term Ghana resident who created the shrine as a personal devotional space that gradually became a meeting point for Accra's small Japanese community and curious local practitioners. Inari shrines are traditionally among the most numerous in Japan and have proven to travel well across cultures; Inari's domain of prosperity, fertility, and artistic inspiration resonates strongly in Ghana's vibrant creative and entrepreneurial culture.
