Tsukuba-kami

The warrior-kami associated with Mt. Tsukuba, Tsukuba-kami is noted in the Hitachi Fudoki for his role in pacifying the mountain's spirits, thus making it a site for pilgrimage and worship.

Mythology

According to the Fudoki, Tsukuba-kami fought against chaotic spirits who disturbed the locals and harmonized the mountain with human activity.
