Tokugawa Ieyasu

Tokugawa Ieyasu, founder of the Tokugawa shogunate, was deified posthumously as Tōshō Daigongen. He is revered for his wisdom in governance and military strategy, symbolizing the unification of Japan.

Mythology

Upon his death, he was enshrined in Nikkō, where it is said that his spirit guides future leaders, imparting wisdom to ensure peace throughout the realm.
