Omoikane

Omoikane is the kami of wisdom and intellect, often invoked for guidance in critical decisions. He is regarded as a counselor to the other gods, known for his profound knowledge and insights. His presence in Shinto shrines often emphasizes the pursuit of wisdom, literacy, and strategy.

Mythology

According to the Kojiki, Omoikane came forth after the separation of heaven and earth, charged with advising the gods during crucial decisions. His discussions among the deities led to the establishment of a balanced world, where knowledge plays an essential role in governance.
