Ame no Yuki
Ame no Yuki is a winter kami worshipped exclusively in rural northern areas of Honshu. Revered for its connection with snowfall and cold weather, the locals hold rituals to request mild winters and abundant snowfall.
Mythology
Ame no Yuki is said to have appeared when the first snows fell upon the land. Villagers interpreted the pure, white snowfall as a blessing, leading to the kami being honored each winter.
